Search underway for woman missing from state's Riverina region

A search is underway, and police are appealing for public assistance, to locate a woman missing from the state's Riverina region.

Julie Malloy, aged 71, was last seen at her home on Deniliquin Street, Tocumwal, about 6.30am today (Sunday 17 July 2022).

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate her.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe Julie may be in or around the Murray River.

Family and police hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

Julie is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of solid build, with short, brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a dressing gown.

A coordinated search will continue today in and around the Murray River, with the assistance of police divers.
