A second man has died following a single vehicle crash in South Morang yesterday morning.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit believe the silver sedan was travelling north on Plenty Road when the driver allegedly lost control and crashed into a pole about 1.10am.
An 18-year-old male passenger from South Morang died at the scene.
The driver, an 18-year-old man from Eltham, was transported in a critical condition but has died in hospital.
An 18-year-old Mernda man who was also in the vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
