Second Man Faces Charges in South Yarra Venue Assault

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a second man following an alleged assault in South Yarra on 20 August.

Police were called to Commercial Road about 1am, following reports a man was allegedly assaulted outside a licenced premises.

The 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old Narre Warren man was yesterday charged with affray.

On 21 August, detectives charged a 21-year-old Narre Warren man with affray, intentionally cause injury and assault by kicking.

Both men have been bailed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 24 October.
