Secretary Pompeo's Meeting with Slovak Foreign Minister Korčok

Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo met with Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok yesterday in Washington, D.C. Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Korčok adopted a U.S.-Slovak Joint Declaration on 5G Security, reaffirming our commitment to keeping untrusted vendors out of critical infrastructure. They also established a U.S.-Slovak Strategic Dialogue to further strengthen our security cooperation, foreign policy collaboration, economic prosperity, and longstanding people-to-people ties. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed our shared commitment to overcome and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and to support a peaceful and democratic Belarus. Secretary Pompeo and the Foreign Minister Korčok agreed on the need for coordinated action to defend our shared values and interests from threats posed by communist China and Russia.
