September is National Biodiversity Month

Are you a nature noticer? Or a feather finder? A rock pool rambler or a sea snorkeler? Curious about caterpillars or bemused by beetles? Perhaps you're a budding botanist or expert bird nerder?

Mornington Peninsula Shire is celebrating Biodiversity Month this September by partnering with neighbouring councils to take part in this year's Biodiversity Blitz from 1 – 30 September 2022.

Whether you're new to nature or know your brown beaks from your blue-bills, we'd love you to join the BioBlitz to help document the Peninsula's amazing biodiversity!

Download the iNaturalist app and sign up to create your profile, then head outdoors during September to snap photos of local nature finds and upload them to the app.

Joining the Bioblitz is a great way to learn about local plants and animals and get involved in local conservation and citizen science.
