Serious traffic crash in Taringa, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious traffic crash in Taringa overnight, Queensland Police say.

At around 7:30pm emergency services were called to Swann Road, near the intersection of Moggill Road, following reports a woman had been hit by a car.

Preliminary investigations indicate a car struck a woman, knocking her onto the railway tracks below.

Police officers arrived and commenced CPR on the woman until other emergency services arrived.

A 19-year-old woman from Redlynch was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

The 20-year-old female driver of the vehicle was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as a precaution.
