Melton Vehicle Crime Unit members made seven arrests after three warrants were executed in response to several burglaries at rural properties.
The warrants in Melton and Melton South led police to seize 1.8L of a substance alleged to be Butanediol, numerous stolen items and a motor vehicle allegedly used in the commission of multiple burglaries.
Police also located child pornography material.
Of the seven arrested;
- A 28-year-old Melton man was charged with traffic drug of dependence and possess drug of dependence, he was remanded to face court at a later date.
- A 31-year-old Melton woman was charged also charged with traffic drug of dependence and possess drug of dependence, he was remanded to face court at a later date.
- A 20-year-old Brookfield man was charged with burglary, traffic drug of dependence and possess drug of dependence, he was bailed to face court at a later date.
- A 35-year-old Melton South woman was released pending summons and is expected to be charged with possess drug of dependence and possess prohibited weapon.
- A 23-year-old Hillside man was released pending summons.
- A 36-year-old Brookfield man and 24-year-old Melton woman were released pending further enquiries.
