A Severe Weather Warning for HEAVY RAINFALL remains in place for the Southeast Coast including the Gold Coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology has warned that locally INTENSE RAINFALL leading to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding is possible with thunderstorms during Friday.
The City is still experiencing road closures in some parts of the city.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
- Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
- For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
