Seville Grove Incident

Police are seeking information regarding an incident in Seville Grove last night, Friday 25 March 2022, which left a resident injured and in hospital.
About 7:10pm police were called to the intersection of Westfield Road and Seville Drive in relation to an incident in which a man had been seriously injured. It was established about 6:45pm a local resident (victim) confronted two males riding off-road motorcycles on the streets. The confrontation took place outside a residence on Seville Drive.
The exchange between the victim and the motorcycle riders became heated and the resident of the house the group were standing outside of came out of his house to intervene. The two riders left, however they returned about 15 minutes later with several more people. This time the group were armed with weapons and began assaulting the victim who had initially confronted them.
During the assault a car arrived at the scene with more associates of the motorcycle riders and they too were armed and joined the assault on the victim.
The resident of the house where the altercation took place again attempted to intervene, however he too was then assaulted. He was not seriously injured.
The group left the scene as police vehicles could be heard approaching the area.
The victim received serious injuries and was taken to Armadale Hospital by St John Ambulance.
