Sexual offences arrest, Ipswich and Oxley

Detectives from Ipswich and Acacia Ridge have charged an 83-year-old man in relation to multiple alleged sexual assault incidents that occurred between September and October 2023 in the Acacia Ridge and Springfield areas.

It will be alleged that the male approached multiple women in public parks before assaulting them.

The 83-year-old Springfield Lakes man was charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

Police appeal for anyone with information regarding these incidents to come forward.
