From volunteers and community advocates to sustainability champions and youth leaders, the 2026 Sir John Monash Awards celebrated the people creating positive change across Monash.

More than 155 guests gathered at PARKROYAL Monash on Thursday 20 August to recognise individuals, groups and organisations whose leadership, compassion and dedication are helping build a stronger, more connected community.

MC'd by author, broadcaster and diversity advocate Tasneem Chopra, the annual awards shine a light on the often-unsung community members whose contributions make a lasting difference to the lives of others.

Behind every award was a story of dedication, generosity and community spirit. Whether mentoring young people, advocating for greater inclusion, supporting vulnerable residents or bringing communities together, this year's winners reflect the many ways people are helping Monash thrive.

Their contributions may take different forms, but each is creating meaningful change and strengthening the connections that make our community special.
