Shootings, Crestmead and Eagleby

Detectives from Logan are investigating two shootings that occurred at different addresses within the Logan District overnight (October 15)

Initial investigations indicate that around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon (October 15) a dark coloured car entered Bix Court Crestmead, before a man emerged from the car and began arguing with another man in the front yard of an address.

He raised a firearm and fired one shot at the resident. The shot missed and stuck a 58-year-old female who was standing nearby. She suffered facial injuries and remains in hospital this morning with non-life-threatening injuries.

At around 9pm last night (October 15) a light coloured car entered Cowper Avenue at Eagleby and as it passed an address, a shot was fired from within the car striking a man who was in the front yard of a house.

This man was also treated for facial injuries and transported to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

Detectives are investigating if the two shootings are linked, however investigations are continuing.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a dark coloured Mazda CX9, or white/silver Mitsubishi Lancer in either of these suburbs, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to contact them.
