Contractors are currently undertaking works to install a temporary side track for motorists to allow construction works of the new bridge.
It is expected the side track will be open Monday, 22 April 2024 in which all vehicles will be diverted via the side track for the remainder of the project. Motorists are advised to be aware of signage and keep to the posted speed limited. The road will remain open whilst the side track is being constructed.
Commencing in January this year, the reconstruction of Washpen Creek Bridge and associated road improvement works on Gundong Road, Obley is expected to take approximately 6 months and is on track.
The works are co-funded under The Bridges Renewal Program, an Australian Government initiative, and Cabonne Council.
