Six-year-old boy dies after serious crash in Griffith.

A boy has died after being seriously injured in a crash in Griffith last week, NSW Police say.

About 2.30pm on Sunday 4 June 2017, a six-year-old boy was riding his blue Yamaha Peewee 50 motor cycle on the grounds of a farm on Bishop Road.

Once out onto the roadway, the young boy turned right directly into the path of a Ford Utility travelling north easterly along Bishop Road, Yoogali.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Griffith Base Hospital.

He was then airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition, but died as a result of his injuries on Sunday 11 June 2017.

The driver of the Ford Utility, a 54-year-old woman, was uninjured and has undergone mandatory testing.

Detectives from Griffith Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the crash and will prepare a brief for the Coroner.
