Sixth person charged after three stabbed at Northmead house party

A man will appear in court today charged over his alleged role in the stabbing of three teenagers at a party in Sydney's west last year.

About 10.15pm on Saturday 3 August 2019, a violent confrontation took place at a birthday party at a home on Redbank Road, Northmead, where a teenage boy was allegedly stabbed.

Police will allege a group of uninvited male guests assaulted and stabbed a 17-year-old boy in the back before assaulting and stabbing a 19-year-old man in the shoulder and back. Another man, aged 19, came to his defence before the males allegedly slashed his hand open with the knife.

All three teenagers were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, with one requiring surgery and another suffering fractured ribs.

Detectives from Parramatta Police Area Command established Strike force Bogota to investigate the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, a then aged 20-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were arrested and charged on Thursday 10 October 2020. They are next due to appear at Parramatta District Court on Friday 26 June 2020 and a children's court on Friday 17 July 2020, respectively.

On Friday 11 October 2019, a 19-year-old man was arrested at Box Hill and charged with three counts of reckless wounding - in company. He is next due to appear at Parramatta District Court on Friday 26 June 2020.

On Wednesday 16 October 2019, a 19-year-old man was charged with three counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Reckless grievous bodily harm - in company, and reckless wounding - in company. He is next due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 18 June 2020.

On Friday 30 August 2019, a 21-year-old man was arrested at a Glenwood home and charged with affray, three counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, reckless grievous bodily harm - in company, reckless wounding - in company. He is next due to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 11 June 2020).

Following further inquiries, investigators arrested a 20-year-old man at a Colyton home yesterday (Tuesday 9 June 2020).

He was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with three counts of reckless wounding - in company.

The Colyton man was granted conditional bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today (Wednesday 10 June 2020).
