Ararat Rural City Council is thrilled to announce a brand-new community event, "Skate into Summer," offering a unique cool escape from the summer heat this December.
From 12th - 14th December, residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a unique opportunity to skate on ice, right in the heart of the Ararat. The Ararat Town Hall auditorium will be transformed to create a festive atmosphere, complete with music and lighting.
This family-friendly event will offer a range of sessions for all ages and skill levels, including dedicated times for children and themed nights.
The excitement kicks off on Friday 12th December, with a special opening night celebration featuring a live broadcast with local radio network ACE Radio, as well as giveaways and a selection of food trucks offering delicious treats to kick off the three-day event.
"We are incredibly excited to bring this all-new event to Ararat," said Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong.
"Ararat Town Hall is a much-loved landmark, and this is a fantastic way to activate the space and offer a fresh, fun activity for our community. "We look forward to seeing this event not only bring people together for some summer fun but also encourage visitors to explore all that our CBD has to offer and support our wonderful local businesses."
Tickets will be available for purchase online from Wednesday 1st October 2025, with a limited number of tickets also available at the door.
Early-bird discounts will be offered for families and group bookings. All necessary equipment, including skates, will be included with ticket purchase.
