The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) has recently announced an increase to the Annual Monetary Limit (AML) for Schedule C items on the DVA Fee Schedule of Dental Services for Dentists and Dental Specialists.
The increase to the AML of 1.5% to $2,643.25 is effective from January 1, 2021.
While any amount of indexation is welcome, rebates remain lower than the mean fee charged by dentists for many items according to the ADA 2020 Dental Fee Survey. The ADA will continue to advocate for fees to be brought in line with the current cost of providing services to ensure that our veterans can continue to access the services they require.
The updated fee schedule will be available on the DVA website in early January 2021.
