About 2.20pm, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) were advised of a fire burning in bushland between Green and Tappak Streets in Spalding.
The fire was contained but on Sunday 30 November 2025, emergency services were advised the fire had re-ignited and fanned by strong winds, rapidly spread. The fire has threatened homes and lives, with several areas being evacuated.

The cause of the fire is being investigated and officers are urging anyone with any information relating to the fire that started on 28 November 2025, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au or by phone on 1800 333 000.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
