A Ballarat man's loyalty to his chosen lottery numbers has paid off in a big way after years of playing the same set when they finally landed him a slice of the $5 million Saturday Lotto top prize on the Easter weekend.
The Victorian held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4455 on Saturday 30 March 2024 with each division one winning entry scored $848,230.70.
“I’m still trying to let it sink in!” the winning man exclaimed when a lotto official called to confirm his prize.
“I checked my ticket last night. I’ve been playing those numbers every week for years.
“I first picked them because they’re birthdays and numbers that were a bit special.
“I guess they’re special now. I’m very lucky!
“It’s amazing!
“I didn’t sleep very well after I discovered the win.
“I’ll be able to retire a little earlier than planned. It’s incredible!
“I never thought this would happen to me!”
His winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at Wendouree Newsagency, 1215A Howitt Street, Wendouree.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4455 on 30 March 2024 were 44, 42, 43, 15, 12 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 36.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4455 – four in Victoria and one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
