Speeding driver loses his licence, South Australia

A 27-year-old man from Clearview lost his licence on the spot after he was allegedly clocked travelling at 178km/h in a 110km/h zone.

The man was stopped at 5pm, Wednesday 24 April, on Dukes Highway, Tintinara after police were called by passing motorists who were concerned the speed the motorbike was travelling.

Not only did the man lose his licence for six months, he was also issued with a $1096 fine.

Police wish to thank motorists who report this kind of irresponsible driving, it helps keep all road users safe.

Speed is a major contributing factor in serious and fatal collisions. Travelling at such a high speed is reckless and puts all road users at risk.
