Speeding motorist loses licence, South Australia

A woman has lost her licence after being caught speeding at South Plympton this afternoon.

About 12.45pm on Wednesday 25 March, a Southern District patrol conducting speed detection duties on Raglan Street at South Plympton, detected a car travelling at 96 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

The driver of the maroon Honda Accord, a 43-year-old Redwood Park woman, received a $1718 fine for exceeding the speed limit and a six month immediate loss of licence.

The woman was drug tested and returned a positive result for methamphetamine. She may face drug driving charges pending the results of an analysis of her sample be Forensic Science SA. Her vehicle was also impounded for 28 days.
