Spirit Halloween Donates $76K to CHOP

spirit halloweenSpirit Halloween recently presented Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy Department with a donation of more than $76,000 at a check presentation ceremony which included Spirit Halloween leadership along with Child Life staff to accept the contribution and emphasize the gift's impact.

The funds were generated from Spirit Halloween's 2022 monthlong campaign and will make hospital stays easier for young patients and their families through non-medical treatment and healing play, all coordinated by the Child Life team at CHOP.

Proceeds were collected throughout the Philadelphia area at local Spirit Halloween stores, SpiritHalloween.com and from business partners. One hundred percent of local donations remain in the Philadelphia community and to-date, Spirit Halloween, through their Spirit of Children program, has raised more than $900,000 for CHOP.

In addition to funding for Child Life, Spirit Halloween is the sole donor for CHOP's Spirit of Children Week, which includes in-kind donations of costumes for patients at the Philadelphia campus and the Middleman Family Pavilion in King of Prussia. For Halloween 2022, more then 600 patients received costumes and trick or treat goodies.
