Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information regarding the death of a woman in St James this morning, Monday 10 August 2020.
About 2:25am Police were called to a residence in Palmerston Street by St John Ambulance, in relation to an incident they were attending to.
Several police units were deployed to the scene. Upon arrival the attending officers confirmed a woman aged in her 60's had multiple injuries. A man aged in his 20s, who is known to the woman, was arrested at the scene.
The injured woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where she later died.
The arrested man was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for medical treatment, where he remains under police guard.
