Streaming service Hoopla Digital now available for free at Bega library

The popular on-demand film streaming service, hoopla digital, is available for free at Bega Valley Shire Library.

Library Services Coordinator, Megan Jordan-Jones said library members can now access more than 600,000 titles across audiobooks, eBooks, comics, music, movies and TV shows.

"The hoopla service partners with public libraries across the United Stated, Canada and Australia, to provide online and mobile access to thousands of movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks and comics," Ms Jordan-Jones said.

"Once you have downloaded the app for iOS or Android, you can stream content from any computer, television, mobile device or other digital platform.

"Obviously we can't list every title, but highlights include popular eBooks like No Way Out by Fern Michaels, The Last Bookshop by Emma Young and Games People Play by Owen Mullen.

"Audiobook titles include The Queen's Gambit by Walter Tevis, The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

"Hoopla is also home to the largest and most-diverse collection of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education content.

"Families connecting with hoopla for remote learning resources have discovered a huge range of educational titles for all ages.

"And just for fun, there are lots of movies, TV shows, music albums, comics like Marvel and DC, how-to books and cookbooks."

Bega Valley Shire Library card holders can borrow six items per month to instantly stream or download.
