Suspected synthetic cannabis seized from St Kilda business

Prahan Divisional Response Unit police have seized cash and packages believed to be synthetic cannabis from a St Kilda business.

Police executed a search warrant, about 9.30am on October 8, at the Acland Street premises as part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale of psychoactive substances in the St Kilda area.

Police located and seized 81 small packages believed to contain a psychoactive substance.

Cash, which will be alleged to be proceeds of the sale of the substance, was also seized.

Investigations into the substances seized and the operations of the business remain ongoing but charges are expected to be laid.

All illicit drugs, including synthetic drugs are harmful and put lives at risk.
