Swan Valley Hosts Premier Venture Capital Event

  • Venture Downunder 2025 has begun in the Swan Valley region
  • The event brings venture capital investors together from across Australia and New Zealand
  • Key opportunity to showcase the State's innovation ecosystem and connect local investors with national and regional Venture Capital Funds

The Swan Valley has welcomed dozens of representatives from Venture Capital Funds across the country and New Zealand for the first time.

Venture Downunder 2025 (VDU) has begun its four-day event designed to promote in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing to build relationships that will support increased investment and growth into Western Australian start-ups and the local economy.

Currently in its eighth year this is the first time VDU has been held in WA.

During the event, some WA founders will have the opportunity to pitch to participating venture capital investors, increase their exposure, and highlight the State's innovation ecosystem and rapidly growing investment opportunities.

Throughout the VDU program there will be educational sessions including panels led by industry experts that address current investment market trends, along with opportunities for WA Government and local innovation ecosystem leaders to present on the strategic vision and opportunities regarding innovation in the State.

A $45 million investment into venture capital firms through the WA Venture Capital (WAVC) initiative was announced last year by the WA Government.

The WAVC assists companies secure capital in WA along with attracting companies to base themselves here.
