Tails were wagging with visit by Piper Story Dog

Kempsey Shire Council

A lovely Storytime session with Piper the Story Dog kicked off our Libraries' spring school holiday program with 15 children and 10 adults in attendance.

"We read 3 doggy stories and then sang some songs. Piper really enjoyed the kids singing, they had her up and wagging her tail! Today we also learnt that Piper loves to eat sourdough bread!" said Melanie Webb Childrens Librarian.

After story time all the kids had fun with a craft activity creating new breeds of dogs by combining unusual dog head and body combinations in very bright colours. "They were very creative, and I particularly loved the Poodle Hound." Melanie commented.

Thank you to everyone who joined in the story time session utilising the new token booking system. All the spots were taken up and there were lots of other kids in the library enjoying the activities in the Koala Cottage.
