Geraldton Detectives with the assistance of Arson Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire at a Geraldton tavern in the early hours of this morning, 19 February 2021.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the tavern located on Marine Terrace in Geraldton around 12.35am. The fire destroyed the tavern and structural engineers have been called in. The fire also damaged neighbouring properties. The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Anyone who was in the area between 10.30pm on Thursday 18 February and 12.30am Friday 19 February 2021, who saw any suspicious activity or has mobile phone or dash-cam vision is asked to contact police.
