Teen arrested following multiple break-ins, thefts in Sydney's north west

A teenager has been arrested following investigations into a number of break-ins and thefts in Sydney’s north west, NSW Police say.

Between August and October 2017, a number of restaurants and cafes in Eastwood and Epping were broken into and robbed.

It’s alleged a number of males were involved.

Police were alerted and officers from Ryde Local Area Command have been investigating the alleged incidents, which are believed to be linked.

As the investigation continued, officers increased day and night time patrols of the area.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 16-year-old male at a home in Abbotsbury about 1pm today.

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with six counts of break, enter and steal, along with breach of bail.

The teen was bail refused to appear at a Children’s Court tomorrow.

Inquiries into the alleged break-ins continue and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the other males allegedly involved.
