Teen interviewed following Collingwood assault

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives have interviewed a 15-year-old boy following an assault in Collingwood on 13 October, Victoria Police say.

The Seddon teenager attended a police station today and was interviewed by investigators.

He was released and is expected to be charged on summons with affray, recklessly cause injury, assault in company and assault by kicking.

The teenager was interviewed after a 27-year-old Richmond man and 30-year-old Abbotsford man were allegedly assaulted at a fast food restaurant at the corner of Smith Street and Victoria Parade about 12.30am.

Police have today been in contact with a number of males, some who have been identified as witnesses.

They will be interviewed in the coming days.

A further two males were interviewed on Friday after presenting themselves to police.

The males, aged 15 and 16 and both from Fitzroy, have been released pending further enquiries.

Detectives have released an image of a male who they are still trying to identify.

Anyone with information or who recognises the male is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
