Teenager charged after four others injured - Malabar

A teenager's been charged as investigations continue into a brawl which left four other teenage boys suffering stab wounds in Sydney's east at the weekend.

About 10.15pm Saturday (29 May 2021), emergency services were called to Adams Avenue, Malabar, after reports of a physical altercation outside of a house party.

Police were told the fight involved four male teenagers from the party and a group of other males who attended in a vehicle and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The injured teenagers – aged 16, 18 and two aged 17 – suffered multiple stab wounds and were taken to various hospitals for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

Two of the teens have since been released; the other two remain in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, police from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended an address on Bay Street, Pagewood, about 1pm yesterday (Sunday May 30 2021) and spoke with a 17-year-old boy, seizing several items of interest.

The teenager was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where he was later charged with affray.

He was refused bail to appear at Children's Court today (Monday 31 May 2021).

Investigations continue.
