Teenager Critically Injured In Crash At Albury

A teenager is in a critical condition following a crash near Albury in the state's south.

About 8pm on Friday 25 April 2025, emergency services were called to Thurgoona Drive, Thurgoona, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

On arrival, officers attached to Murray River Police District found a 19-year-old man had been struck by a car.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for life-threatening injuries before being taken to Albury Hospital.

At 2am yesterday, Saturday 26 April 2025, he was transported by helicopter to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old man, was arrested and subjected to mandatory drug and alcohol testing.

An investigation into the cause of the crash has commenced.
