Teenager stabbed at high school at Parramatta

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being stabbed at a school in Sydney's west today.

About 8.30am (Monday 23 November 2020), emergency services were called to a high school on Macquarie Street near Charles Street, Parramatta, after reports a student had been stabbed.

The 14-year-old boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a stab wound to his back, before being taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A search of the surrounding area is currently underway and no arrests have been made.
