Teens Arrested Over Thornlands Park Fire, Queensland Police

Detectives from Bayside Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged three teenagers following investigations into a fire at Thornlands Community Park playground on September 11.

Police will allege the teenagers lit a fire at the playground on Cleveland Redland Bay Road which destroyed the play equipment.

Police were able to apprehend the trio yesterday following the help of a member of the public who supplied information to police, which assisted greatly in the investigation.

A 16-year-old boy and two boys aged 15, all from Thornlands, were dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
