Think You Know Your Bins? Test Your Knowledge

Orange Council

Residents in Orange can test their waste sorting knowledge through a free online game on Orange City Council's website.

Council has launched 'Everyday Zero', an interactive waste education game designed to improve recycling knowledge and reduce contamination going to landfill.

The game challenges players to sort as much waste as possible within 30 seconds by dragging and dropping items into the correct waste and recycling bins.

Users can also use their phone or webcam to scan items to instantly identify the correct bin in which to place the item, which is particularly useful for commonly confused or tricky items.

'Everyday Zero' supports Council's waste education efforts by providing real‑time insights and clear guidance and gives us a better understanding of common mistakes.

It aims to support long-term behaviour change by making waste education accessible, repeatable and fun.
