The Northern Territory Police Force are investigating a death that occurred earlier today in Malak.
Around 9:20am, police received a report from a neighbour of an unresponsive 28-year-old woman at a residence on Paqualin Road, Malak.
Upon police arrival, CPR was commenced, before paramedics took over and the woman was declared deceased a short time later.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, and the cause of death is currently unknown.
The victims 26-year-old male partner was arrested at the scene for an alleged prior assault on the victim in the hours proceeding, and for breaching a Domestic Violence Order against the victim. He currently remains in custody.
A crime scene has been declared, and Major Crime Detectives are currently investigating the death. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
