Top Surfers Back for WA Margaret River Pro

The world's top surfers have returned to the South West for the fiercely competitive Western Australia Margaret River Pro.

Thousands of spectators, fans, and support crew will descend on Margaret River from 17-27 May to watch the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour event, which gathers the sport's global elite men and women surfers to compete for championship points.

The surf competition is a proven visitor drawcard for the area, with the 2023 event attracting more than 3,500 visitors to the Margaret River region, injecting over $8 million into the local economy.

The Western Australia Margaret River Pro also acts as the Mid-season Cut, making it the last chance for surfers to score points to carry them through to the next phase of the tour, leading to heightened global attention on the event.

The Pro showcases the Margaret River region to audiences around the world through its global media coverage and online broadcast, as well as through the social media profiles of celebrity surfers, including Italo Ferreira, Caroline Marks, Jack Robinson, Caitlin Simmers, Filipe Toledo, and Tyler Wright.
