Toyota City, Japan, March 23, 2026―Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) will exhibit at the Automobile Council 2026 classic car enthusiast event, to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from April 10 through April 12. The Toyota exhibit will include three classic sports cars displayed at the Toyota booth and three vehicles at the GAZOO Racing booth.
Sharing the Automobile Business & Culture Association of Japan's aim to make cars the pride of Japanese culture, Toyota is carrying out various initiatives under its automotive heritage program, "Toyota Classic". By participating in Automotive Council―one of Japan's largest gatherings for classic car enthusiasts―Toyota aims to promote its initiatives, share the appeal of classic cars with a wider audience, and work together to nurture Japan's automotive culture.
Toyota's displays at Automobile Council 2026 will showcase the history of Toyota's sports cars. Centered on the Toyota 2000GT―the first Japanese car to capture the world's imagination―the Toyota booth will feature: a replica of the Toyota Publica Sports, symbolizing efforts to connect heritage cars to the future; the Toyota Sports 800, restored through talent development that inherits the DNA and encourages independent thinking and taking on challenges; and the Toyota 2000GT.
The GAZOO Racing booth will feature the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 and Toyota Supra JZA80, both equipped with currently available or upcoming GR Heritage Parts, and the Lexus LFA.
