- The fourth round of Market Access Grant Scheme now open
- Grants of up to $5,000 available to support health and medical life science businesses attend major conferences and events
Local health and medical life science businesses can now apply for a Market Access Grant Scheme (MAGS).
MAGS now in its fourth round, with an allocation of $100,000, is offering grants of up to $5,000 to support with travel costs when attending major industry conferences and business events. The initiative is designed to help Western Australian companies boost their profiles, grow their market presence and forge valuable business connections.
By attending international events such as BIO 2026 in California, companies are able to showcase their innovations on a worldwide stage. Successful applicants are required to co-contribute at least 20 per cent of the total travel cost.
Since being launched MAGS has awarded $244,000 in funding to 55 applicants from the local life sciences sector.
MAGS forms one of the components of the WA Government's Health and Medical Life Sciences Industry Strategy. The strategy aims to support both new and emerging businesses diversify the local economy and create jobs.
