Trump Signs Bills S. 32 & S. 307 Into Law

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the President signed into law:

S. 32, the "Local Access to Courts Act," which adds College Station, Texas, and El Centro, California, to the list of locations where court is authorized to be held in the Southern District of Texas and in the Southern District of California, respectively; and

S. 307, the "Prison Staff safety Enhancement Act," which establishes requirements for the Bureau of Prisons within the Department of Justice to address sexual harassment and sexual assault on Bureau of Prisons staff by incarcerated individuals.
