A delegation led by the Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in the city of Novosibirsk Zarina Ismoilzoda visited Tomsk State University. At the meeting dedicated to the development of partnerships, the participants discussed long-term plans for cooperation in education. Particularly, the parties discussed the introduction of modern digital tools for studying and testing Russian as a foreign language.
The parties outlined joint steps to promote technological solutions that will make the learning and knowledge assessment more accessible and effective.
Mikhail Shepel, Vice-Rector for the Development of Additional Education, made a presentation about the life of the university and the main directions of its activities.
- Today, international collaboration is key for almost all faculties and institutes of TSU, - said Mikhail Shepel. - We are interested in active cooperation with universities in Tajikistan. The meeting of the leaders of our countries requires the intensification of cultural, scientific and labor cooperation.
Now we pay special attention to the promotion of the Russian language in friendly countries, especially in Tajikistan. TSU has a unified digital platform for Russian language study and further testing. The university is one of ten universities in Russia authorized to issue certificates of Russian language proficiency at various levels.
Besides, the university has developed an adaptive platform "In Russian" for the study of the Russian language, translated into 16 languages of the world. It is absolutely free, works using artificial intelligence and adjusts to the user level. The platform is included in the register of key platform solutions of the Russian Federation in the field of Russian language promotion.

Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan Zarina Ismoilzoda noted that relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation are traditionally within the focus of strategic partnership and alliance with an emphasis on education, science and training of highly qualified specialists.
- I think TSU is one of the best educational centers in Russia. For many years, Russian universities have played an important role in training personnel for Tajikistan. We believe that Russian education is the foundation for the best specialists. Thank you so much for giving our students the best education in the world. We will be glad to your proposals and further cooperation, - said Zarina Ismoilzoda.
After the discussion, the delegation met with Tajik students studying at Tomsk State University.
We shall remind that at present 121 students from Tajikistan study at TSU. The university is actively developing international cooperation with the countries of Central Asia. The key projects include joint educational programs with partners from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
