The popular Laneway Series in the CBD returns this week with an Oktoberfest theme.
The Territory Labor Government is transforming Darwins CBD into a world-class tourist and cultural destination, creating jobs for Territorians and supporting innovation and local business.
Minister for Tourism and Culture, Lauren Moss said Chapel Lane and the Mitchell Street Service Road will be transformed this Friday with local bars and restaurants offering food and beverages including Outback Jacks and The Deck Bar.
The event features Jigsaw collective, 7 piece band including special guest Lucky Phil Lange born and raised in Lieder Hausen direct from Berlin backing funky-oompah
The Territory Labor Government funds the Laneway series through Live Darwin and in collaboration with the Darwin City and Waterfront Retailer Association.
The Laneway Series is a series of eight events to take place in the CBD between October 2018 July 2019 to activate the CBD laneways, arcades and spaces that connect them.
Free parking is available in West Lane Carpark from 3pm.
The Laneway Series will introduce branded reusable, recyclable glassware to reduce the intake of single use plastic at Laneway events.
The next Laneway Series event and the final event for 2018 is scheduled for Friday 9 November.

It is exciting for the Darwin CBD that through the record Turbocharging Tourism $103 million stimulus package, and the Darwin Live program we are able to fund the Laneway series.
