Turkmenistan's Chevening Scholars Head to UK

On 13 September the British Ambassador, Stephen Conlon met the latest group of talented Turkmen Chevening Scholars as they prepare to travel to the UK. The new Scholars also met some of those who had previously studied as part of the Chevening programme to hear from them first-hand what it is like to live and study in the UK.

This year our Scholars are heading to the Universities of York and Warwick for post graduate programmes in Cyber Security and Management of Information Systems, and Digital Innovations.

The new scholars met some of alumni who had previously studied as part of the Chevening programme.

The new scholars will join an exclusive club of nearly 90 Chevening Scholars from Turkmenistan and will join a worldwide community of over 55000 Scholars who include in their ranks, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, Parliamentarians, Judges, Journalists and many more from all walks of life.

If you want to follow in their footsteps applications for the Chevening scholarships are now open for the 2024/25 academic year! We welcome applications from interested candidates across Turkmenistan and in case you missed the big news Tuesday this week, we are seeking passionate people able to demonstrate their commitment to creating positive change. Application deadline is 7 November 2023.
