Tutor charged over indecent assault at a school in Hurstville

A school tutor has been charged after allegedly indecently assaulting a student at a Hurstville school, NSW Police say.

Detectives from the St George Local Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a school tutor had indecently assaulted a 15-year-old girl during a lesson on Wednesday 5 April 2017.

Following investigations, a 52-year-old man was arrested at a home in Beecroft about 10.30pm yesterday.

He was taken to Ryde Police Station and charged with aggravated indecent assault.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Burwood Local Court on 24 April, 2017.

Investigations are continuing.
