Connecticut Mom Delivers Baby in Car Right Outside UConn John Dempsey Hospital

It's a girl! Meet Juliana, UConn John Dempsey Hospital's first baby of 2024. This newest UConn Husky is 8 lbs., 20.5 in.

A Dad-to-be pulled up his car "right in front" of the door to UConn John Dempsey Hospital's Emergency Department with Mom-to-be having contractions.

But, in the time it took Dad to run around the car and open the passenger door, Mom's water broke and the baby was born.

Juliana.

"It was wild!" exclaims Dad.
