UF Offers Apprenticeship Program to Expand Workforce Education

A University of Florida program designed to provide the education and job training needed to be a successful community health worker has been approved to participate in the State of Florida's apprenticeship system.

Elder Options and UF Health Jacksonville: Urban Health Alliance have signed on as the first employer partners for the Community Health Worker Registered Apprenticeship Program ran by the UF Office of Professional and Workforce Development. The first Healthcare Apprenticeship Accelerator workshop will be held on April 27.
