UN Secretary-General Calls for Global Unity for Planet's Sake

In a video address at the sixth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-6), UN Secretary-General Antnio Guterres has called on countries to come together to address the planets most-pressing environmental challenges.

The address came during the opening plenary of the UNEA-6 high-level segment.

The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) is being held from 26 February to 1 March 2024 at the UNEPheadquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, underthe theme: Effective, inclusive and sustainable multilateral actions to tackle climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. Through its resolutions and calls to action, the Assembly provides leadership and catalyzes intergovernmental action on the environment.
