Students in Adelaide's north now have a place to study close to home, with Uni Hub Playford moving to its permanent facility at the TAFE SA Elizabeth campus.
The move provides northern students with access to purpose-built study spaces, academic support and wellbeing services. It also creates a welcoming environment designed to remove barriers that have historically made university participation harder, including long travel times, limited public transport connections and feeling disconnected from campus life.
City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said Uni Hub's permanent site at the TAFE SA Elizabeth campus reflects strong collaboration across the higher education sector and the region's commitment to improving local learning opportunities.
"Uni Hub Playford gives students in the north a place to belong, study and thrive, without the challenges that often come with travelling across the city just to access university support," Mayor Docherty said.
"Being able to operate from the site now gives students the chance to settle in and make the most of the space as they prepare for the 2026 academic year."
The City of Playford led the successful application for Uni Hub Playford through the Federal Government's Suburban University Study Hubs program and leads daily delivery of the service.
Uni Hub Playford is delivered in partnership with Adelaide University, Flinders University, TAFE SA, and the Northern Adelaide State Secondary Schools' Alliance (NASSSA), uniting university, TAFE and secondary school pathways to support students at every stage of their learning journey.
The transition into the permanent site follows the successful operation of the interim Uni Hub at the Playford Civic Centre Library, which has supported students since April 2025.
A formal opening event will be held in February 2026, providing an opportunity for students, partners and the wider community to celebrate this milestone and showcase the facility.
Uni Hub Playford is now open and supporting students from participating institutions.
