Unified ACS Identity Advances Science And Community

American Chemical Society

The American Chemical Society (ACS) unveiled its evolved brand that reflects the organization's evolution, its growing global impact, and its vision for a world built on science. Launching during ACS' 150th anniversary year, the evolution strengthens how the organization delivers its mission to advance scientific knowledge, empower a global community, and champion scientific integrity.

"For 150 years, ACS has helped people, ideas, and discoveries connect to advance science," says ACS Chief Executive Officer Albert G. Horvath. "Today, our brand reflects both who we are and the future we're helping build. It strengthens our ability to connect and serve the global scientific community for generations to come."

Many people know the organization through its individual parts without fully realizing all that ACS has to offer. ACS provides scholarly publishing, scientific information, educational and professional development opportunities, science advocacy, events, and much more. The evolved brand brings those experiences together into a unified identity, making it easier for people to discover and access all the opportunities, resources, and communities that ACS offers.

The evolved brand was shaped by extensive engagement with many stakeholders in the ACS global community. Over the course of two years, ACS members, customers, employees, and partners participated in market research, workshops, listening sessions, and feedback opportunities. Their input helped inform the brand evolution. The new identity introduces an updated logo, color palette, and design system inspired by the continuous nature of scientific progress. Just as each discovery builds on those that came before it, the brand reflects how ideas, people, and disciplines connect to create what's next.

While the brand has evolved, ACS' mission, vision, strategic goals, and core values remain unchanged. To experience the evolved brand firsthand, we invite people to visit acs.org or join us at ACS Fall 2026 in Chicago from Aug. 22 through 27 .
