The University of Liverpool has continued to perform well across sector league tables and other measures over the 2019-2020 academic year.
National Student Survey
The University maintained very high satisfaction levels in this year's National Student Survey (NSS).
The NSS gathers students' opinions on the quality of their courses, which helps to inform prospective students' choices, provide data that supports universities and colleges to improve the student experience and support public accountability.
The University achieved an overall satisfaction score of 84.1%, above the sector average of 82.7% and ahead of its benchmark score of 83.6%.
The University was ranked top in the Russell Group for Student Voice with a satisfaction rating of 77% and in the top three for Learning Opportunities (83%), Assessment and Feedback (73%), Academic Support (79%), Learning Community (76%) and Learning Resources (89%), with high scores in this area for IT resources and facilities (86%) and access to course-specific resources (91%).

StudentCrowd, which features university reviews by students, revealed today that the University of Liverpool is rated number nine out of all UK universities in their independent rankings.
To reveal the top 20 UK universities, StudentCrowd analysed a total of 22,774 university reviews, each review consisting of 11 different categories that students rated out of 5 stars.
Center for World University Rankings
The University rose 29 places in the in the latest Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
Globally the University now ranks 134th in the world with a national rank of 14th. Overall, the University is ranked in the top 0.7% of global universities.
Four key pillars underline the methodology of the ranking, quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, and research performance. The rankings do not rely on surveys or university data submissions and place an equal emphasis on learning environment and research. The University is ranked within the top 100 globally for Quality of Faculty.
The Times Good University Guide
The University rose two places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 from 31st to 29th nationally. This continues improvements recorded in the last publication when the University climbed 11 places from 42nd.
The Good University Guide rankings cover: student satisfaction with the quality of their teaching and academic feedback, course content and facilities; graduate job prospects; the likelihood of achieving a high-class degree; entry standards; dropout rates; research quality; student/staff ratio; and spending on library and other student services.
World University Rankings
The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2020 saw a 16-place rise for the University, from 181st to 165th position.
The rankings assess universities on five different pillars - teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income. The University's ranking improved in teaching, research and citations.
